About Rob

Rob is a passionate full time golf coach to all levels of players. He has recently built a CPGA approved indoor research and player development facility in addition to his outdoor facility at Kings Links. The indoor facility is one of the best of its kind in the world featuring the most advanced technology and full practice facility. It also houses a club fitting area, lounge, fitness area as well as a 1400 square foot putting and chipping green. Rob is fully invested in providing his clients with the best information,service and product in the golf industry.

On a typical day in Robs life it is not unusual to see some of the best in the world having a lesson followed by a beginner then someone from Europe or Asia here on business. Rob was voted Vancouver and lower mainland Regional Finalist for BCPGA Teacher of the Year in 2010 and also one of Canada’s Top 15 Teachers in 2007 by the Score Golf Magazine national survey and his CPGA peers. He is a leader in the development of successful competitive junior golfers in Canada mentoring over 100 players to obtain a college scholarship.

In 2010 and 2011 his Elite Junior  players won more Provincial, National and International tournaments than any other Academy in Canada. As a player he was an associate member of the PGA  Champions Tour  in 2003  and is the past 2007 BCPGA Senior Champion. Rob brings a wealth of teaching and playing experience to his students along with great communication and motivational skills.

Rob has invested twenty years studying the world’s top teachers, players and the use of technology in teaching an he is a student of golf methods, sport psychology, golf motion and physics in sport motion. He was one of the pioneers in the use of 3d motion capture for golf starting at Motion Reality Corp  in  Atlanta Georgia, the inventor of the technology as far back as 1994.  His use of 3d technology to study movement gives him a unique understanding of how things will best work for different skill levels and physical capability to produce a consistent and powerful swing. He is very well read and has tested  many different swing concepts giving him a deeper understanding of cause and effect in golf and  the possibilities for  players of different ages and abilities. When Rob was playing for a living he was coached by Mike Bender ranked as one of the world’s top ten teachers by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest. Mike has had a major influence on Rob’s playing  and teaching ability. They say it takes ten thousand hours to become an expert at somthing and Rob’s experience  which is now in excess of  30 thousand hours of instruction enables him to provide guidance in a way you can understand and that will definitely help promote more consistent results in your game. He has tireless patience.

Rob currently coaches players ranging from age 6 to a few over 80 and enjoys helping anyone dedicated to improving their game regardless of age, gender, experience, talent or skills.
