Dylan was tragically killed in an automobile accident this past Saturday night Nov. 12, 2011 while riding as a passenger. Dylan was a strong and responsible leader among his many friends and fellow golfers. A really good guy with a bright future. He will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies go out to to his twin brother Jesse , his Mom, Dad Sister family and friends. Rest in peace Dylan.
Dear Sir/Madam:
I would like to introduce myself, Dylan Reichelt, age 17; I am very interested in attending your school and playing for your Golf Team.
I am currently attending Brookswood Secondary High School in grade 12, graduating this June. The passion and discipline of golf came after years of competing along with my twin brother, Jesse, in a number of different sports including Hockey, Baseball, Soccer, rowing and has developed into our obsession.
In addition to athletics, I have completed over 144 hours of volunteer service, annually, with the BC Lions Football Club, of the Canadian Football League since 2005 as field staff, Game Day Assistant. I believe my years of experience working the sidelines of a professional sports team have taught me how to be a team player and how to conduct myself with decorum and professionalism.
Since the fall of 2005 I have worked for the Langley Minor Hockey Association as a referee and have progressed to Supervisor. The skills required to officiate and supervise new referees has given me confidence and taught me how to communicate effectively with people of all ages and has given me the ability to focus and remain calm in pressure situations.
Under the instruction and direction of LPGA and PGA instructors Evelyn and Jack Westover and currently working under Canada’s leading junior development coach CPGA instructor Rob Houlding, I am looking forward to very successful 2011 tournament schedule in both the Canadian Maple Leaf Junior tour and the Canadian B.C.G.A. Junior tour as well as our High school team competitions. I currently play to a 3.2 handicap and with Rob’s help will be down to zero by season end. I am confident in my ability to lower this even further and complete my goal playing golf with a college team.
