Dear Sir:

I am writing to express my interest in attending your school and participating in your Golf Program. My name is Jesse Reichelt; I am a 17 year old grade 12 student attending Brookswood Secondary High School in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. I will be graduating in June 2011.

Throughout my life I had the opportunity along with my twin brother, Dylan, to participate and compete in a variety of sports including hockey, both playing and officiating, baseball, basketball, soccer rowing and golf. I have always been considered a top athlete at school, participating in all school sports.

In addition to athletics, I have completed over 144 hours of volunteer service, annually, with the BC Lions Football Club, of the Canadian Football League since 2005 as field staff, Game Day Assistant. I believe my years of experience working the sidelines of a professional sports team have taught me how to be a team player and how to conduct myself with decorum and professionalism.

Since the fall of 2006 I have worked for the Langley Minor Hockey Association as a referee and have progressed to Supervisor. The skills required to officiate and supervise new referees has given me confidence and taught me how to communicate effectively with people of all ages and has given me the ability to focus and remain calm in pressure situations.

Although I was introduced to golf quite early in my life, the last four years of instruction and competition has developed a passion I did not have in other sports. Under the direction of LPGA and PGA instructors Evelyn and Jack Westover and currently with PGA instructor Rob Houlding, I have developed a confidence to succeed and bring my current handicap of 3.3 to as low as I can.

Golf has not only become a mainstream of my life but has taught me the importance of discipline, determination and dedication. It has given me the self-confidence to achieve goals and to be able to compete at a high level on the British Columbia and Canadian Juniors tours. I am currently participating in the British Columbia Golf Association Junior Tours and the Canadian Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour as well as our High school Team events.

My golf instructor Mr. Rob Houlding has videos of my swing and information on my golf swing at robhouldinggolf.com. I would appreciate any information you have on your school and the golf program.

I am currently looking forward to having a great 2011 golf season and have listed some of my scores and accomplishments from last season.
