SUPER KIDS

Super Kids is a program for highly motivated  juniors between 8 and 12 years of age interested in playing tournament golf. Unlike other junior programs for beginning golfers, Super Kids is is coached by Rob Houlding not an beginning instructor. The one on one approach produces results that are always amazing and accelerate the learning process. Rob’s experience working with talented youth ensures that students enrolled in this specialized program will develop winning behaviours, character and fundamentals.

Rob is careful to structure the training load and performance expectations to the individuals capabilities in such a way as to keep them stimulated and challenged so they enjoy the discovery of learning about their potential.  Kids at this age range are rapidly changing in their physical capability and their ability to understand concepts and strategy that are important to playing golf well. Rob’s teaching style is full of encouragement and recognition for accomplishment which plays a key role in why his students perform at amazing levels for their age and experience in tournaments. The videos below will help you see what is possible. Self confidence and skills go hand in hand and feed from one another at any age. With the Super Kids program parents find that the negative behavior that sometimes reveal themselves and hold back performance seem to vanish or at least gets under control. The reason is the child’s improved understanding of fundamental skills that work in competition which empowers them to perform more consistently and continually improve over time.

Starting at this age can also give a great head start to obtaining a college scholarship which in most cases for Rob’s clients recovers the cost of learning the game and obtaining experience through playing tournaments. Many of Rob’s Super Kids can play under par golf on par three courses and some on full size courses playing at around 5800-6000 yards. While most people find this very exceptional the kids themselves just think its sort of normal thats what they like to do. When they get to tournaments and seriously outperform other kids their age the self esteem and confidence grows quickly motivating the child to work harder. Through this program kids learn to think differently about themselves and their potential. They realize they can accomplish some great things with some properly directed effort. Please enjoy  some of the following videos of our students and let us know if you have any questions. Although these videos are shot indoors we also teach outdoors both on the course at Kings Links  and at the Kings Links practice facilities in Delta BC.
