We have the privilege of having Rob as a golf coach for our son Adam Svensson for the past six years. During that time he has proven to us that he is not only an outstanding person, but also a person with an enormous amount of knowledge towards the game of golf. Rob has qualities like no other coach. He will spend endless hours with his students with a great sense of passion for them to understand the mechanics of the golf swing and how to think and act like a champion.
Our son Adam Svensson is now ranked one of the top junior golfers in the world and won the World Junior Championship age 15-17 in 2010. Rob has played a major role in Adam’s success due to his endless energy and motivation supporting Adam to do his best.

Coaching was never a job for Rob. He vested himself in my life journey. He recognized my raw and youthful talent and passion, and he helped me turn my love for the game into true success. He nurtured my journey like a father would to a son. Under his tutelage, I rose to become one of the best junior golfers in Canada. After moving to California, Rob continued to support me where I accomplished the same results in a much bigger pond. I have accomplished some of my biggest dreams in the last few years, and it wouldn’t have been possible without his dedicated coaching.

Rob Houlding has helped many of my fellow junior peers and other striving golfers to reach their goals in a professional and helpful way. I have been a student with him for 3 and 1/2 years. I have seen many improvements made by him on my swing, making my golf game more consistent. He helps his students on his own free time, and will do everything in his power to help you in any way.
This year I won the Canadian Juvenile title and made the cut in the LPGA Canadian Open at 16. Every year I have improved and surpassed my goals. In 2012 I will be on the Canadian National Team and 3 of my team mates were also developed by Rob. He is the best there is if you want to play your best. Almost forgot, I am also ranked #2 in the CN Ladies Professional Tour rankings in 2011 playing as an amateur. Rob will teach you how to play and think like a champion.

I have worked with Rob for the last 3 years. Every part of my game has improved dramatically. He taught me the game both mentally and physically. Rob’s real strength is his desire to be helpful and provide the information the student needs in a simple to understand format. Rob won’t leave until the concept being taught is understood and it is clear he enjoys teaching. Many times the sun was setting and the lesson still continued. Rob was not concerned with the clock but was more concerned that the student understood the lesson and it was evident that he was enjoying teaching the lesson as much as the student was learning the concept.

I remember our very first lesson. I came to you because I had lost it. We spent 9 hours on the driving range. I felt like my hands were going to fall off after I had gone through about 8 large buckets of balls, but you were there for every minute, helping me improve and that’s what makes you a great coach. Rob has taught me to score and play the game by building a good consistent swing which is dependable and reliable under pressure. Rob has taught me the fundamentals of my swing so that when I am not playing my best, when my legs decide not to be part of my body I can still play a respectable round of golf and understand how I can complete the round without throwing the bag and the clubs into the water.
